The club’s First Team is the flagship of GC Markgräflerland’s
sporting ambitions. Founded in 1999 they already have six titles to
their name in 10 years. They currently play their golf in the German 3rd
Divison (DMM Regionalliga) and the Swiss 1st Division (ASG A1), were
they are reigning champions.
Team Coach Graham Currie explains what he looks for in
a first team player, “The criterion of playing for the first team has
nothing to do with having a good handicap. They have to be
self-motivated and committed to the team and clubs goals. They also have
to show respect for their fellow team members and to bring with them to
each game a winning mentality”.
